Code of Conduct
420 EXPO HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR THE FOLLOWING VIOLATIONS:
NO THC OR SALES OR GIFTING
Exhibitors and/or attendees are not permitted by law, as well as the rules of the 420 Expo, to engage in the sale of any THC except the legal amounts in products as allowed. It is legal and safe to buy hemp-derived CBD products in New Jersey. The CBD must come from industrial hemp with a THC content of no more than 0.3%. Gifting is not permitted at the 420 Expo. This includes the purchase of another item or service and the subsequent presentation of THC products above the content of 0.3%. There are zero exceptions and/or tolerance of this rule. Anyone found in violation will be removed from the facility and event immediately.
NO ILLICIT DRUGS
Anyone distributing, under the influence of or found with illicit drugs not permitted by New Jersey law will be removed from the event and facility immediately and may be turned over to the authorities.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED AREAS
This includes the use of personal vaporizer devices inside the convention center.
PHYSICAL, SEXUAL ASSAULT AND/OR BATTERY
This includes, unwelcome physical contact and/or harassment of any kind, but is not limited to: fighting, offensive verbal comments (related to gender, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, and religion), deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or video recordings. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately and may be turned over to the authorities.
HARASSMENT IN PUBLIC RESTROOMS
Guests at 420 Expo are welcome to use the restrooms that match their gender presentation or identity.
NUDITY OR SEXUAL ACTIVITY IS NOT PERMITTED
By any participants or attendees, including exhibitors. This includes, but is not limited to, depictions or nudity in any produced form.
NO WEAPONS ARE PERMITTED, INCLUDING GUNS, PROJECTILE WEAPONS, WATERGUNS, KNIVES, BLUNT OBJECTS, ETC.
This includes explosives (firecrackers, caps, and fireworks) and chemical weapons (mace, pepper spray, etc). Replica firearms must be marked with an orange tip and will be inspected. Show security and event staff reserve the right to inspect and remove any weapon or prop at any time and shall have sole discretion in any matter that it believes may affect public safety or be essential to protect the integrity of the event.
NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ON THE SHOW FLOOR OF ANY KIND
Only alcohol purchased at the event is permitted, and must be consumed only in the area(s) designated for this.
PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Any individual visibly intoxicated upon arrival or at the event will be denied entry and/or will be asked to leave the venue without refund.
CONSUME RESPONSIBLY
Please do not consume and drive! Never use marijuana while driving, and do not drive immediately after using it. Not only is it potentially dangerous, it is illegal and can result in serious penalties. If you are not sure whether you are impaired or above the legal limit, do not drive! Please use a designated driver system, or a ride share service. If you need help contacting one or arranging safe transport, please contact a team member for assistance.
Anyone who feels they are in a situation where their safety is compromised or who becomes aware of anyone violating any part of this Code of Conduct or any actions that are in question, should immediately locate the nearest security officer or 420 Expo team member so the matter can be handled in an expeditious manner.
If security is not in the immediate area, please text “SECURE” to 797979 and both the 420 Expo’s Security and/or Show Management will immediately respond.
420 Expo Officials will take prompt action in any form they deem appropriate, including expulsion from the event with no refund.
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone at the convention: exhibitors, fans (attendees), speakers, guests, professionals, press, staff, volunteers and security are all subject to these policies.
If at any time you have been made to feel uncomfortable, or if you witness another person being harassed, you should immediately contact a staff or a security team member. If necessary, we will contact local law enforcement, provide escort, offer a safe place or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding in keeping our event protected and making it an event that celebrates our freedom and cannabis.
